A brilliant Spring starts with fresh and uniforms faces that promise not to remain indifferent anyone
Makeup teachers hold their brushes to give us a master class in shades shadows, lipsticks and blushers that will be trendy on next months.
The new season shows a romantic and chic girl, with a clear bet on dusty blues, greens and pastel pinks, in a perfect fusion with the spring rays that enhance looks and faces without any color and radiate light and freshness in a natural way.
Let’s review brands like Chanel, Esteé Lauder, Givenchy, Dior, Guerlain and YSL in order to find out the makeup trends for the new season.
CHANEL MAKE UP
As a postcard summer, Chanel’s Makeup Creation Studio presents DANS LA LUMIÉRE DE L’ÉTÉ, the makeup collection where the summer tanning higlights thanks to a perfect play of lights and shadows with a good-looking face effect.
The firm presents HARMONIE POUDRE BELLE MINE, LES BEIGES, two new duet powders: DUO No. 1 formed by a terracotta brown and a golden sand and DUO No. 2, containing a bright pink for the cheeks and a light beige to light up (RRP: €68).
Les Beiges Stick is the name of the exclusive blushes in three shades that have a velvety and luminous finish. Their silky texture sculpts and emphasizes naturally a good-looking face effect, with a touch of color on the cheeks. Thanks to their stick format, they can be applied directly on the cheeks and be blurred by fingers, always with circular movements towards the temples to enhance the facial features, and to the lips to lengthen them. The eyes light up with the exclusive creation EMPREINTE DU DÉSSERT, four eye shadows with a smooth and creamy texture (RRP: €68). The harmony of the warm tones of copper and gold beige allows to play with the brown and khaki green tones to create a summer fusion. STYLO YEUX WATERPROOF eyeliners are presented in a refreshing emerald green OASIS and SABLE, a bright and sublime coral pink. (RRP: €20)
To impact, the eyes stain of ocean blue, the pop trend of season. Chanel presents their cream shadows Illusion d’Ombre of their L.A.Sunrise Collection in Ocean Light Blue (noted for its darker and deeper tones) and in two softer tones: Moonlight Pink and Griffith Green (RRP: €31).
Another example of L.A. Sunrise shadows collection is the palette Les 4 Ombres Spring 2016, with different shades between blue and purple to achieve a different look each time according to the eye type. The trick to get depth is to apply color always on the eyelid. (RRP: €52,50)
Chanel’s lipsticks LÉVRES SCINTILLANTES are presented with a smoother and more moisturizing texture in six new shades among roses, maroons, corals and reds. Tanami, Adenium and Rouge Désert offer a glossy finish while Sirocco, Sahara and Dzhari, bring a pearlescent effect. (RRP: €35)
ESTÉE LAUDER BRONZE GODDESS SUMMER GLOW 2016
The Limited Edition 2016 Bronze Goddess comes with textures and finishes that define, illuminate and sculpt the face. The Summer Glow Multi-Palette incorporates a bronzer, an illuminator and a blush prepared to highlight the facial features and provide a radiant and fresh look. (RRP: €52,50)
Lip and Cheek Summer Glow is a 3-in-1 color bar which combines in its ends a cream color for lips and cheeks and a light and liquid gleam of lips for a bright finish. The result is a blend of nourishing oils that leave skin and lips with a soft and moisturized feeling. Available in 3 shades: Fuchsia Lights, Peach Glow and Sunburst. (RRP: €33)
Bronze Powder Goddess provides a flattering golden hue and it can be applied on the face, shoulders and chest. Available in 4 different colors, it is presented in an elegant XL case, with a brush and a mirror for an easy application. (RRP: €45,50)
DIOR
Glowing Gardens Spring 2016 is the makeup collection conceived by Peter Phillips for this spring and it is a simple alliance of pastel shades and light and bright textures.
Dior Blush Glowing Gardens leaves cheeks with light pearly touches that emphasize the natural color of the skin and make the eyes shine. (RRP: 58 €)
To get a perfect lip gloss, the make-up artist has created Dior Addict Lip Glow Pomade and then he subtly enhances it with Dior Addict Lip Glow Lilac. (RRP: €37)
When we want to add shine and brightness to the eyes, the expert uses the mask Dior Addict It Lash it Platine (RRP: €35) that lengthens and thickens eyelashes. It is combined with a cloud shadow applied on the eyelids, thanks to the 5 Couleurs Glowing Garden palette in sky blue, peach, pearl grey, iridescent pink, anise green and pale yellow (RRP: € 61).
The Dior’s makeup creative director bets on a transparent and luminous skin, playing with a soft idea and pastel and dusty tones that blend into the skin in a natural way to show our best version.
GUERLAIN
Olivier Echaudemaison has spent decades putting his creativity to fashion and designing new simple and practical textures. Guerlain’s makeup expert has designed the Spring Glow collection for transmite optimistic messages through light and colorful tones.
With its multicolored stars powders, Météorites amplifies the skin light providing a brilliant effect. (RRP: €64,10)
The new palette of blush, Duo Blusch Rose Aux Joeus, is a duo of red satin and pink tones. It must be extended slightly for the cheekbones to give a flushed face touch. When we open the case, the message “SMILE” appears in capital letters, and it means a happiness hymn to enjoy every moment. (RRP: €58,90)
Eye shadow Ëcrin 1 Couleur is the real treat of this collection. Its lively and cheerful golden tone is an invitation to enjoy the pleasure of makeup to be beautiful, and this is exactly what the inside message “ENJOY” means. (RRP: €34,90)

Guerlain’s creative director, has imagined a collection for Spring / Summer 2016 as an antidote to sadness through the power of beauty to make us happy.
GIVENCHY
Nicolas Degennes is considered one of the great talents of international make-up, since he took command of the Givenchy makeup division more than 15 years ago.
La Revelation Origenelle, his Spring collection, is dedicated to the luminous and angelic beauty. He has presented the flagship product, Poudre Lumière Originelle, an illuminating powder inspired by the lace of the Haute Couture’s collection of the brand. (RRP: €60,50)
Ombre Couture eye shadows are shown in a creamy format and two colors, yellow and blue, in a clear allusion to the sun and the moon. (RRP: €47)
Le Prisme Blush is a fusion of four dusty shades and it gives a natural and fresh effect to the face. (RRP: €35)
Rouge Interdit Vinyl compensates the excess of swetness. It is a lip-gloss that has been obtained through a black rose oil, and it has been inspired by the gothic aesthetic of the fashion house. The most searched tone is the Noir Révelateur, a deep black that interacts with lips ph for a unique tone to each woman.
YSL
Boho Stones, the new YSL makeup collection, is made for a bohemian, sensual and feminine woman.
The flagship product, Le Blush Encre de Peau, is a real novelty thanks to its innovative ink formulation, that is designed with “gel-to-color” technology and combines soluble substances and a moisturizing base. This summer is going to arrive a real revolution to the mascaras market with the YSL new proposals. Cara Delevingne is the responsible for showing the colorful and funny vinyl masks os Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, and the result is extravagant and sexy.
Vinyl Couture is a collection of daring masks ready to dye eyelashes thanks to its vinyl effect, that gets a twinkle in the eyes. Their lacquered and soft texture is an innovation that brings length and volume to eyelashes. (RRP: €35)
Color school imposed by the Spring / Summer 2016 makeup creators evokes pastel shades days and faces that radiate light and naturalness. Lightness triumphs, leaving the makeup with sharp and hard lines or matte textures. The advice of the season: Reserve iridescent tones for the night.
