Milan, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Venice celebrate the 20th anniversary of Marni Prisma this year. On March 14, Hong Kong was getting ready for the opening of the Marni Roof Market during the Art Basel. And, on the roof of the dock 4, it fascinated their viewers. A variety of facilities, products and incredible sensations of the Marni personality.
This market, ideally linked to the Marni flower market in Milan but with its own design, lasted one night and was a succession of experiences for all attendees. In the center, an installation created by the Italian artist Massimo Bartolini stood out above the rest: a set of lights throbbed and went intensifying with a soundtrack created from the recorded sounds during the Marni Flower Market. The integration of elements and the staging of Marni never ceases to surprise.
The Marni Roof Market allows the public the the possibility of acquiring a unique piece of this magnificent event. A distribution of colorful stands, designed like small houses, exposed the different products and mannequins with braided pvc skirts and metal chaira, flowers, insects and animals.
Besides flowers and aromatic plants, new items such as leather sandals hand painted by the Italian artists Art Brut, the Dot bag made of leather, cloth bags and striped shopping bags from the Marni Flower Market. Was also presented a selection of sculptures of the project Marni Animal House, picnic cloths and printed wrapping papera, and a workshop of jewelry with recycled materials was performed.
This project reaffirms Marni’s charity to contribute the total revenues from the sale of the products to the Vimala Association (www.ass-vimala.org).
