Torrons Vicens adds a sweet touch with its surprising flavors

The Catalan company Torrons Vicens returns one more year with new flavors of nougat to surprise all your guests. This 2022, chefs Albert Adriá and José Andrés have been in charge of designing the sweets, under the supervision of master nougat maker Ángel Velasco.

The first creation is a lemon texture nougat, filled with praline and lemon caramel and covered with white chocolate. It is a perfect combination of sweet and sour that produces an explosion of flavor and textures. They have also created a turrón de polvorón con canela, made with almond praline with a touch of cinnamon and coated with caramel chocolate. It is also sprinkled with powdered sugar.

The third is the macadamia nougat with Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar, which is filled with Bourbon vanilla gianduja from Madagascar and macadamia, covered with milk chocolate and decorated with caramelized macadamia for a crunchy touch. Finally, the turrón cherry times, a very special preparation. It is made with cherry ganache with pecan nut praline, crispy rice toffee of Ras el Hanout. In addition, part of the profits from the sale of the nougat will go to raise funds for the San Juan de Dios Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona..

David Muñoz presents his new gastronomic experiences: four turrones and two roscones

David Muñoz is back this Christmas with surprising proposals: four turrones and two roscones de reyes. The Madrid-born chef was chosen in September as the best in the world at The Best Chef Awards 2021 gala and in October moved from 75thor to 20thor on The World’s Best Restaurant list.

Now that December is here, David Muñoz is launching TurrónXO with the most unique tastes. The first, with milk with cereals, has a white chocolate coating, cream praline filling with crunchy cereals, lemon caramel heart and a touch of spice. The second, with Roscón de Reyes flavor, is made with ruby chocolate coating, orange blossom praline, guava caramel and cream and raspberry powder.

The third, the TurrónXO of popcorn popcorn, with a chocolate coating with crispy fried corn, filled with corn praline with passion fruit and tajín. Finally, the nougat ofPedroche cheesecake, in honor of the chef’s partner. It contains cheese praline, cookie base, toasted butter and Sichuan pepper.

Muñoz has also created two roscones de reyes. The first, cocoa with chantilly salted caramel,toffee and cookie crumb filling. The second, a brioche cake with blackberry-violet chantillychantilly, ruby chocolate, candied ginger and hibiscus. All of the chef’s products are available at El Corte Inglés.

The best desserts from the hand of Casa Cacao

Casa Cacao, the Roca brothers’ chocolate workshop, presents its own gastronomic experiences to sweeten all your meals.

They make two types of panettone, one with cocoa and the other traditional, with candied fruit and raisins, made with sourdough fermented for 48 hours. In addition, they also offer Christmas balls in different flavors: pistachio and cherry, hazelnut and sunflower seeds and lemon peel, all covered with chocolate and decorated in a festive style.
