Silversea introduces the newest member of its fleet: Silver Dawn, a cruise ship designed for relaxation and disconnection.
The Silversea, owned by the Royal Caribbean Group, dropped anchor in the port of Barcelona last November 28 with its new Silver Dawn cruise ship.
This completes a fleet of luxurious and impressive ships that have exclusivity as their banner. With routes in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the two Polar regions and the Galapagos, Silversea once again demonstrates its potential to become the number one ultra-luxury cruise line.
The culinary side of Silver Dawn: an unparalleled flavor journey
Everything on this ship is impressive, but the gastronomy that can be enjoyed is, without a doubt, something to highlight. The Atlantide restaurant, for example, is suitable for all palates for its extensive and general menu. But, there are many more options: the Kaiseki, a Japanese restaurant with a $40 supplement, La Terrazza, an Italian buffet in the morning and à la carte in the evening, or La Dame, the French haute cuisine restaurant with a $60 supplement.
In addition, there are also cafes and bars such as the Arts Café, the Panorama Lounge, the Silver Note, a musical tapas bar, or Spaccanapoli, a pizzeria open from eleven in the morning to eleven at night. Other restaurants hold surprises such as Pool Bar, a more informal place during the day where you can eat pizza, pasta or burgers, but at night it becomes a restaurant specializing in hot rocks: the customer can cook the meat or fish himself with a hot volcanic stone.
The S.A.L.T. project: interactive gastronomy
For all those who like to cook, but also for customers who want to experiment, Silver Dawn offers S.A.L.T. This project is divided into three rooms: the laboratory, the restaurant and the bar. The main idea of this program is to create and offer dishes with flavors and tastes belonging to the cultures of the sites visited by the cruise ship.
The S.A.L.T. Lab is, as its name suggests, a culinary laboratory. In it, customers gather in a kitchen around a professional chef who guides them to create a dish typical of the city they are in. The ship provides all the ingredients needed to make the dish, as well as headphones and a monitor so that everyone can follow the instructions.
The S.A.L.T. Kitchen is the restaurant where guests can enjoy dishes inspired by the locations along the cruise route. In this way, Silver Dawn wants passengers to create deeper connections with the culture and traditions of each place.
Finally, the S.A.L.T. Bar is a cocktail bar that, in keeping with the program’s idea of exclusivity and differentiation, creates different signature cocktails so that customers can taste the flavors of the cities they have visited along the way.
Otium Program: relaxation and self-care aboard the Silver Dawn
Another exclusive stay that can only be found on Silver Dawn is the Spa Otium. Much more than just a spa, the program offers both exclusive products and treatments that can only be found inside the ship. It features a relaxation room with steam bath and sauna, as well as different treatment rooms including massages, acupuncture and hydromassage.
In addition, within the Otium center we find a fully equipped gym, a beauty and hairdressing salon and a barbershop. Thanks to the exclusive products offered by Otium, the client can customize the treatments with the items he/she prefers.
The importance of exclusivity at Silver Dawn
The Silver Dawn cruise ship is characterized, in addition to its gastronomic offer, by its great exclusivity. It can only accommodate 596 passengers, making it a small cruise ship. Although, in this way, Silver Dawn achieves total relaxation of its customers and an atmosphere of unwavering tranquility.
There are 298 ocean view suites on the ship and all have a butler for guests available 24 hours a day for whatever passengers need. In addition, the ship also features a laundry room, a casino, luxury shops, a bookstore and a pool. Silver Dawn also has television stations that present newscasts designed exclusively for the ship’s customers.
In a world where speed is rewarded and there is no time for rest, Silver Dawn offers a cruise designed exclusively for passengers to relax and take time for themselves.
