Vespa and Christian Dior collaborate for the first time in their history. The result? A haute couture reinterpretation of the iconic Vespa 946. A new design marked by a vintage style, in the purest Vacation in Rome style, and by the elegance that characterizes the French firm. The collection is completed with two matching accessories: a helmet and a travel bag.

Scooter, helmet and matching travel bag;

The Roman Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of Dior, has been in charge of reinterpreting the Vespa 946. Vintage style, in cream color and with golden edges, the new Vespa moves between modernity and a trip to the past. In addition to the blue leather, present on the grips and on the upper part of the seat, another fabric is used with a pattern more protagonist: the Dior Oblique (Marc Bohan, 1967).

This monogram print is normally present on the Saddle bag and on the shopper customizable by Dior that has become so fashionable in recent years. Now, it is also the one chosen to adorn the trunk and helmet of this special edition.

The suitcase and helmet from the Vespa and Christian Dior collection will be available in the privacy of 2021 at boutiques Dior around the world. Later, it will also be present in a selection of Piaggio’s Motoplex stores.

Vespa and Christian Dior: a unique collaboration

Vespa and Christian Dior thus join forces in an unusual but symbiotic collaboration. The spirit of the Dolce Vita of Vespa blends with the savoir faire the French house in a collaboration in which elegance is the key. In fact, that the model chosen is the Vespa 946 is no coincidence, which has become a classic symbol of elegance thanks to summer movies like Jessica (1962) or Vacation in Rome (1953). Who has not visited the Italian capital and has been amazed by the scooters that wind through its streets?
